Grouper is known for its stout body, large mouth and distinctive colors. While size can vary greatly, it is not uncommon for a Grouper to attain lengths of over one meter and weigh over 100 kilo. Grouper is a moist fish, has a distinctive flavor and pretty firm texture. After preparation, its meat falls apart easily. Since it is an “oily fish”, with a high moisture content, it is nearly impossible to get a dry taste.
