Wakame

The wakame that we source is originating from China. This edible seaweed has a strong though slightly sweetish and salty taste and is usually served in salads as well as noodle and rice dishes. Some kitchens also use it as a soup ingredient. As the product image shows, wakame is a plant-based food, in fact highly nutritious and very low in calories.

The plant itself is pretty invasive, it can grow up to 3 meters in length.

Needless to mention that seaweed meets the growing demand for vegan products. Making it a great addition to any food assortment.
