‘ASC Supplier of the Year 2026’
Bargteheide, Germany – 2nd of October 2026 – During yesterday’s MSC/ASC Blue Future Forum in Hamburg, Germany, Lenk Group, a supplier of quality frozen fish & seafood with offices in both Germany and Asia, proudly received ASC’s Award in the category Supplier of the Year 2026.
The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) is an impact-driven organisation working to transform aquaculture through its farmed seafood certification programmes.
The award was handed over to Melina Lenk, daughter of the company’s CEO and founder Heiko Lenk, who represented the company at the ceremony. “We are incredibly honoured to be here today, to be nominated, let alone to be able to accept this award. This award truly represents the passion our small team puts into our work, not just us in Germany, but also our colleagues in Asia. Unfortunately, my father Heiko Lenk could not be here today. However, he would like me to express in his stead, that he is truly honoured to accept this award. Thank you very much.”
A relationship with ASC from the very
beginningFor Lenk’s owner Heiko Lenk, the award carries particular significance. While he regrets to have been unable to attend the ceremony in person, he shares: “We have been involved in the development of responsible aquaculture farming projects even in the earlier days before Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) has started its activities and have been happy to accompany the ASC and its implemented standards from day 1 of its inception, as only then we have been able to carry out our activities into consumers market in a visible way. From the outset, we believed that ASC was an initiative the aquaculture industry truly needed, and we are proud to have supported it and been involved from the beginning. Our licence number, ASC-C-00001, tells that story quite literally”. Heiko added:
“To now receive the ASC Supplier of the Year 2026 Award is, for me personally, a very special recognition. It reflects years of commitment and collaboration. Of course, progress rarely comes without challenges, and there have certainly been ups and downs along the way, but we have always believed in the importance of contributing to a healthier, more responsible and fair seafood industry and we are therefore very grateful to receive this award.”

SC certification. The award marks another milestone for Lenk and its teams in Asia and Europe.
