Black Tiger is one of the most desired shrimp species in the world. Not just because of its delicious taste, also thanks to its bright blueish color, firm structure and thick shell. The Black Tiger shrimp is one of Asia’s main Aquaculture species, though the shrimp is also available from wild sources. Black Tiger shrimps, its scientific name Penaeus Monodon, are being appreciated globally and mainly sourced in Bangladesh, Vietnam, India, Indonesia and Thailand. It is in fact the largest commercially available shrimp species worldwide.
